RED BELLIES RACING GET NZ CAMPAIGN BACK ON TRACK

Australian team Red Bellies Racing's confidence has been buoyed
by a trouble-free run in round five of the 2007 New Zealand Offshore
Powerboat Series at Tauranga on Saturday.
Firmly putting mechanical problems which hampered their efforts
in the preceding rounds behind them, Bruce Sanders and Colin Craven
were right in the thick of the Superboat Light class action, eventually
taking fourth place.

RED BELLIES EYEING SECOND-HALF CHARGE

Just as it's often said that sports such as the rugby codes and
soccer are games of two halves, Red Bellies Racing - Australia's
representatives in the New Zealand Offshore Powerboat Series -
are hoping the second half of the 2007 series has little in common
with the first.
Round five of eight will this weekend take place in Tauranga,
looking to put a troubled first half of the season behind them.

VALUABLE POINTS FOR RED BELLIES IN MARAETAI

Fighting on despite technical problems, Red Bellies Racing finished
sixth outright and fourth in class in Round two of the New Zealand
Offshore Powerboat Championship, held at Maraetai last weekend.
The Australian team of Bruce Sanders and Colin Craven were in
a race-against-time to start the 100-mile event, stemming from
a heavy crash in the season opener on January 10.

After stealing the show with a high-speed crash in Taupo a fortnight
ago, Red Bellies Racing is keen to bounce back in style in Round
Two of the New Zealand Offshore Powerboat Championship at Maraetai
this weekend.
Despite a 160km/h exit from their international debut, the Australian
team turned plenty of heads with an impressive performance.
Bruce Sanders and Colin Craven were leading the competitive Superboat
Light Class convincingly, and sat fourth outright in the 40-boat
field at the time of the mid-race incident.

RED BELLIES RACING ESCAPE HIGH-SPEED CRASH

Australian team Red Bellies Racing's debut in the New Zealand
Offshore Powerboat Series was cut short by a high-speed crash
yesterday.
The 160km/hr accident occurred on Lake Taupo, with the team of
Bruce Sanders and Colin Craven fortunate to escape serious injury.
Prior to the incident, which occurred about halfway through the
100-mile race, the pair were displaying the same sort of impressive
form which has taken them to six Australian titles in eight years.

AUSSIE RACERS TAKE ON THE KIWIS!
Colourful Australian racers Bruce Sanders and Colin Craven will
go head-to-head with the Kiwis later this month, in the opening
round of the New Zealand Offshore Powerboat Championship.
Sanders and Craven’s Red Bellies Racing team are set to
fly the Australian flag throughout the 2007 New Zealand summer
series, contested over eight North Island events between late
January and May.
‘Team Australia Offshore’, as Sanders has dubbed
it, this week sent its Australian title-winning Red Bellies Offshore
racer to New Zealand, in readiness for the opening event, at Taupo
on January 28.
